CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Gentle Yoga  For All Levels.  Great for those working through injury or  recovering from illness. Appropriate for those with little to no yoga experience, as it provides more detailed instruction at a slower, pace.  Focus is on stretching, strengthening and relaxation.  Saturdays at 10am

Yoga I  A moderately paced class that includes sun saluations (Surya Namaskar A & B) and range of standing and seated postures designed to increase strength, balance and flexibility. Recommended for newer students of yoga who are in good physical health. Tuesdays at 7:30pm

Yin Yoga  For All Levels.  In Yin Yoga postures (asanas) are held for longer periods of time. This practice focuses on the joints and connective tissues of the body.  It invites a meditative state, so that one is able to "go inside" cultivate a peaceful mind/body connection.  A great compliment to more vigorous forms of physical activity.  This class is on hiatus.

 

Restorative Yoga

A perfect way to restore and reset the mind, body and spirit! We'll practice Restorative Yoga combined with sensory integration that encourages relaxation and calming of the nervous system.  Pranayama, Meditation, Essential Olis, Aromatherapy and sounds and/or music will help facilitate and enhance this relaxing experience.  If you struggle with symptoms of stress & tension: anxiety, insomnia, etc, this soothing practice is for you.  If you do more vigorous physical exercises regularly, making this a part of your routine is a wonderful way to transition to a calm, restful state, so we can feel restored and stay in balance.  Wednesdays at 7pm
